At Smith Care Counseling it's not just about the Mental Health Needs, but how those needs impact your ability to achieve your desired goals. I have over 15 years of experience supporting individuals navigating some of their most challenging moments, from all ages and walks of life, I started my professional career working in child protective services supporting individuals in overcoming not only systematic and organizational challenges but personal challenges that include: substance misuse, domestic violence, co-parenting challenges, anger management, marital and probate challenges, and all aspects of parenting and child safety and wellbeing. My professional experience has also lead me to work in Community Mental Health Outpatient Clinics and Community Crisis Clinics. Most recently I have the honor of working with Geriactric veterans, their caregivers and family members around challenges that include loss of independence, social isolation, caregiver stress and burden, Grief & Loss, chronic depression & Anxiety, suicidal ideations, and Post traumatic Stress Disorder.
